Breeding conditions:

Predators (both mammals and birds) did not influence markedly the breeding success of waders.
 

Rodent dynamics:

The abundance of Collared Lemming was at a peak stage and of Siberian Lemming was minimal. Numbers of Tundra Vole were low.
